Lunchbox Adaptor for BMW K-Models

The Lunchbox-Adapter allow the connection of different new speedos on the old harness connector what was connected to the old BMW speedo in older K models. It makes the conversion of the old harness signals to a modern speedo easy. The speed signal is amplified and now compatible to aftermarket speedos. 10 output cables allow to indicate all necessary signals. The neutral signal is now compatible to modern speedos and the virtual load for the alternator is implemented as well.

An auto-cancel function is integrated into the module. The corresponding output flashes 4 times when a turn signal button is pressed briefly for less than 0.5 seconds and then switches off. This function can be used for overtaking. If the button is pressed for longer than 0.5 seconds, the output flashes 40 times. The auto-cancel function can be deactivated by connecting the green wire to ground.

You can use the module with a permanent switch if you wire the yellow cable to ground. The module works with a push button if the yellow cable is not connected. By the way, you can switch off the headlight in the button mode when you press the button for more than 2 seconds. A further press on the button switch on the headlight again.
